The Write Place Adds Graphic Designer
Alonso Rubio of Macomb, Illinois, has joined The Write Place, a writing and graphic arts company, as a graphic design assistant. Based in Pella, Iowa, The Write Place has offices in Macomb as well as in Kearney, Nebraska. Rubio joins the company’s manager, Alexis Thomas, in Macomb.
Rubio, a 2005 graduate of Western Illinois University, holds a bachelor’s degree in graphics communications and has a diverse professional background in the graphic design and publishing fields. “I pride myself in finding solutions to all kinds of challenges, and I look forward to working with The Write Place and helping to meet the graphic arts needs of our clients,” Rubio said.
“Despite the downturn in the economy, The Write Place has been steadily growing, largely because of our expertise and the flexibility we provide to our clients,” Thomas said. “We’ve always recognized that our clients’ needs vary on our project-by-project basis. We’re pleased to have Al join our team so that we can maintain our flexibility in meeting our clients’ needs—however great or small they may be. His skills are proving to be valuable assets.”
In working for Pella clients, Rubio will telecommute from Macomb, just as Thomas has done since 2006.
Begun 15 years ago by owner Carol Van Klompenburg, The Write Place is a communications business specializing in writing, editing, newsletters, brand identity, logo design, communications campaign coordination, and more for clients both large and small, including individuals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations.
